Back Pain Is Common

If you suffer from back pain, you are far from being alone; 4 out of 5 adults experience the symptoms of lower back pain at least once in their lifetime. You might find that the most common causes of your pain include physical changes through age, obesity or weight gain, bad sitting posture, an uncomfortable bed, lifting heavy objects, or suddenly taking up new strenuous physical activities.

If you have a sports injury our Doctor will identify it, provide treatment and advise on rehabilitation, exercises, and more. We first aim to use conservative methods of treatment before surgery is explored as a final option. At Holistic Living it is our aim to get you back to full fitness in the shortest possible time.

Conservative Treatment

We recommend a conservative treatment before any surgical option is pursued. This is because any operation done on the affected area without prevention of scar formation, may cause ossification of the soft tissue and narrowing of the nerve outlet. This can lead to even more severe back pain in the future.

The spine is manually manipulated to correctly reposition the discs to relieve pressure on the nerve root and align the spine back into the appropriate posture.

This treatment is painless..

Our Conservative Treatment Follows These Steps

  1. Locating the affected area (x-ray)
  2. Blocking the pain locally with medicine
  3. Applying massage therapy
  4. Using Chiropractic manipulations
  5. Special exercises to improve the elasticity of tissues, restore blood supply to the affected areas, reinforce the treatment result and prevent a relapse

After Treatment

After the treatment you are almost done!

The client is advised special exercises to improve the elasticity of tissues, restore blood supply to the affected areas, reinforce the treatment result and prevent a relapse.

Surgery Only If…

We believe that an operation must be done only if there is absolute indication of either displaced discs, crushing of the bones, or a massive disc herniation whereby the spinal cord is mainly affected.
